SRGE 2011 Location: Hotel Deca
When it came to choosing a location for SRGE, the choice was an easy one to make.
Hotel Deca served as the location for Jet City Retro in 2008 and was happy to have us gamers back for some more good times! The hotel is in the heart of Seattle's University District, with many great neighboring restaurants and attractions. The recently remodeled art deco theme complements our retro flavor well, and the hotel has some amazing views from their rooms, which incidentally have LCD TVs with easy-access RCA inputs :)
Free Parking
That's right, we have free parking for all attendees for both days of the show! Just park in the hotel lot, and when you pick up your badge, we'll get you set up with free parking for the duration of the show! Of course if you are staying at the Hotel Deca, you always have free parking.
Room Discounts
If you want to take advantage of the Hotel Deca's beautiful rooms and views,
you can arrange to stay at the Hotel during the show, and we can provide you with a discount code (details to come). Aside from free internet in the lobby and internet in hotel rooms, a 32" LCD in each room with easy access to inputs, and an iPod dock clock radio, each room has a wonderful view, and newly remodeled art deco designs. Location, Location, Location
The Hotel Deca is located right next the "The Ave", the University District's main drag, featuring dozens of restaurants, bars, stores, and yes, videogame stores! You can find everything from new and used to retro and import games just a few hundred paces from the hotel lobby. The U-District is also only a few miles from downtown, easily accessible by bus or taxi, and only minutes from I-5. We'll have more details about recommended restaurants, bars, and stores in the coming weeks.
And of course if you just want to stay in, The Hotel Deca also has The District, Seattle's own jazz club and bar, and a Tullys coffee, both adjacent to the hotel lobby.
